Section 125
Section 125 plans allow your employees to increase their take-home
pay by allocating pre-tax dollars for medical and health expenses.
This type of plan lowers their taxable income, and allows you to
provide a practical and affordable benefit to your employees.
Employers save 7.65% of every dollar (FICA) that employees invest
under Section 125. These savings can pay for this program – and
possibly other insurance plans.
Health
Savings Account (HSA)
An HSA is an affordable
alternative to traditional health insurance; it is a savings
product that offers a way for employees to pay for their health
care. HSAs enable you to pay for current health expenses and save
for future qualified medical and retiree health expenses on a
tax-free basis. Employees own and control the money in their HSA.
They make decisions on how to spend the money without relying on a
third party or a health insurer. They also decide what types of
investments to make with the money in the account in order to make
it grow.
Health
Reimbursement Account (HRA)
HRAs are personal accounts
funded by the group. HRAs can reduce a group's exposure to federal
and state taxes, including Social Security and Medicare taxes. In
addition, a group's HRA contributions may qualify as a
fully-deductible business expense. Health Reimbursement Accounts
allow members to "bank" unused funds over consecutive benefit
years for use when the funds are needed. |
